In the wee hours of the morning,
As I wake up to the sound of the chirping birds that pass away;
And I step onto the flooring,
And thank the Lord for a new day.
I am grateful for the air that I breathe,
For my family, my true gold to keep;
Our love, so crimson cerise,
That grows with the years, I pray to the Lord, more and more deep.
Being grateful is what I always want to be,
To give till it hurts, especially to those in need;
To be growing in faith each day as the pages of life flip fast,
Happier, merrier, beautiful and free!
