अहंकार की फांस से, साबुत बचा न एक
पर्वत से पत्थर हुआ, हो गया सूखी रेत!
संग गंगा-यमुना के बही, संग करूणा सागर अनेक
मैं तो सूखी ही रही, रहती क्रोध समेत!
जो उपजा कंकर भया, मैं का कर्म न कोई नेक
दूर-दूर रहते सभी, मानो भेत-प्रेत!
धैर्य के जल से सींचे सभी, हृदय स्वीकार करे प्रत्येक
माटी बन महके तभी, जीवन दे बन कर खेत!
