A miracle called Life

By Aparna Bandyopadhyay

Contributory Author for Spark Igniting Minds

Opening my eyes to the sun at dawn

Breathing in life and getting warm,

The colours abound in splendour so,

My mind is a boat, with vigour I row!

My breath is a miracle, every morn

In the bright light, all artifice shorn

The birds call out in joy and fly,

Across the blue stretch of the sky!

There is that one tiny moment,

When sleep is permanent forever.

As I flutter my lids and awaken,

Gratefulness floods, as life beckons!

That moment of dawn is Life's great miracle,

Which we fail to see, as we race to a pinnacle!
