My help came and tapped,
On my outer door.
With her two year old
Sitting on the floor.
Aleya, with her twinkling eyes
A placid child, who never cries!
She went about
Her daily chores,
My home became spotless
With her vibrant force.
Aleya, with her twinkling eyes,
Always playing, never cries!
Ten years have long gone.
With all work, she still has zest. Chores done right,
She's never at rest.
Aleya, with her twinkling eyes,
In a corner, study she tries!
Another ten have sped along.
Her movements slow, working still.
Choice is hers, to rest or toil,
My home is hers, to do her will.
Aleya, with her twinkling eyes
Has gathered wings, high she flies!
Ten more years have raced along,
A rasping cough racks her frame.
The Doctors gave her scanty time,
Nothing will ever be the same.
Aleya with her twinkling eyes
Stood by her bed and softly cries!
