Thunderstorms roar high in the sky,
frightened daughter began to cry,
Windows hit hard against the wall,
Panes shattered and had a great fall,
Whirl wind swirled and turned around,
Seeming that they were not abound,
A shudder went through my child's spine,
With a louder uproar, cry and whine,
Leaves on the trees rumble and whistle,
My sweet heart's screams did not dwindle,
Once I huddled and hugged her with care,
The downpour hushed storm not to dare,
As the continuous rain appeared to weep,
My little one fell fast asleep!
