World in shrill cry and pain
Is begging corona to leave.
But I say, as you go, leave the fear
Among men, to think and sieve!
This was a time, the lakes were clear
The trees were green, birds had sung
And the noise of the traffic's blare
Was muted, and hatred hung!
The trafficking of the child and drugs,
Were halted as funds were dry.
No means to travel, crime's underbelly
In frustration and anger had cry!
Cutting off our green cover
In garb of development they caused,
Deep hurt into the Earth's belly
Your menacing march had paused!
World in a shrill cry and pain
Is begging corona to leave.
Your menace we learn has a flipside,
Hope man has learnt to sieve!
