Although, it is very painful but a hard hitting fact of the existing era that many children today are getting deprived of either of one parent’s love, care, affection and most importantly togetherness of one parent.
There could be many reasons for the separation of the couples but as parents they must understand one very important aspect of their life that they owe their parenting to their children. Yes, they need to understand that their separation, in no case, should affect the welfare of their children. They have to make sure with themselves that despite of their separation, their child still deserves the best of everything. No doubt, every single parent can afford the best for his or her child. But nothing can replace the presence of the other parent. Also, moral, emotional and social developments can be best instilled in a child in presence of both the parents.
Even though such a couple never prefers to see or talk to each other but they must forget and leave their personal grudges aside for a while and think for their innocent child’s future who is unaware of the fact that he is going to be deprived from so many things as compared to a child who lives in the protection and shelter of both the parents.
In such a crucial situation, when the future of an innocent child is at stake, only mature and responsible parents take an initiative to come forward for a better resolution in favor of their child. Such couples make up their mind to talk to each other for the welfare of their child; who unfortunately become a victim out of his own parent’s misunderstandings and frustrations.
Well, such couples who, despite of their separation, have decided to come forward together for the resolution of this serious issue needs to take a break of few days or weeks and get themselves counselled by some specialist or a close friend, who can help them to take off the negative stuff out of their mind and bring some peace and positivism in their lives. This process will help them to face each other in a better state of mind.
They should clarify to each other right before their meeting that it is going to be a healthy discussion. They should fix the agenda right before their meeting that their focus would be on Child’s welfare only and no other topic should be touched upon in that meeting. Therefore, both of them should be mentally well prepared for this meeting to have a healthy & fruitful discussion in favor of their child.
In this meeting, they should fix their roles and responsibilities towards their child like visiting hours or days, social and moral duties towards their child and disbursement of expenses on their child’s education and upbringing. They should also clear that in front of their child they have to represent themselves as an ideal parent. Also, they must clear it in this very meeting that it is a mutual responsibility of both of them to take care of their individual behavior to avoid any conflict or argument in front of their child. They should not give a single reason to their child where a wrong image gets imprinted in his or her mind for them.
As a parent, they have to stand together for their child, whether it is a PTM at School, Vaccination or any such event or place, where their child wants them to be together.
However, if either of the parent is in a state of deep ignorance and negativity and unfortunately child is living with such a parent then only Divinity can safeguard the future of that innocent child because such a parent can only instill and inherit his or her own negativity and vicious thoughts into the mind of the child.
Therefore, despite of separation, mutual parenting is only possible if both of them have agreed to coordinate and cooperate to each other to make it happen and to work it equal or at par with joint parenting.
Exceptions are always there. Therefore, separated parents can also set an example by playing their role & responsibilities of mutual parenting very well provided both of them wants to give a positive, peaceful & happy life to their child.
Hence, the couples, who are legally separated or living separately without any legal separation, should come forward and play their role of parenting in such a decent way, where their child would feel proud of them, at a later stage of his or her life.
